I love their works, their ideas, and their execution.Įven if continuous ads play between levels now, I still want to see what more they have to offer. I feel like Owen Davey, Dave Hill, and Upright T-Rex Music need more credit for how much love they put into this game. As an artist, the visuals, worlds, mechanics, and music (oh, the music) make the game for me. I'm probably going to still stay with the game despite all of this. I haven't uninstalled Two Dots in case I come back to it again.but with this extra-ads development, it doesn't sound like I'll want to stay if I try. They reduced the amount of gold you win in the remix finale and I'd much rather play apps that are only about scavenger hunts, if that's all I'm going to do. With all the apps out there, though, including ones I paid a few dollars to remove ads from that then are giving me unlimited gameplay.having to constantly buy more gold to unlock the scavenger hunts doesn't feel worth it like it used to, either. But that started to feel like a chore, too, so then I was only checking in to play new scavenger hunt levels when they appeared. For a while, I ignored that and just played the flip boards, because I like the shorter, more intense challenge of trying to clear all the boards. This was the first game I ever spent small amounts of money on, because their scavenger hunts were so cute and fun I was happy to reward them.īut now I go months without playing, because when I try to return I'm quickly reminded that the main game feels like a slog, and I could be doing anything else. I've loved Two Dots for years, so much that I have more than once beat all current levels, uninstalled the game, and then found myself redownloading it once I had a new device, and starting from the beginning to see if I could catch up again.
